August 29, 2014 was a memorable day for the family of James D. Bauer, and for the Master Auto Repair family. Jim Bauer retired after 35 years in the service station and auto repair business, and sold his interest in Fyler Auto Repair to Mike Najjar and Master Auto Repair. Jim plans to spend more time with his hobbies and with babysitting his three grandchildren. He and his wife Mary also have several trips planned. 

Master Auto Repair continues to expand. The location at 6501 Fyler (at the corner of Watson Road and Fyler) is the fifth Master Auto location in the St. Louis area. John Jackson, employed by Master Auto Repair since 2005, has been promoted from service advisor at the Collinsville location to general manager of the new shop. 

When asked about the newest Master location, Mike Najjar said "It {the opportunity} was too good to pass up. The shop is in a great neighborhood, has lots of quality repeat customers, and has plenty of room to expand and service more customers in the future."

The hours of operation will remain 8 to 5 daily, and the entire workforce of Jim Bauer's Fyler Auto Repair have been offered their same job positions with Master Auto Repair.
